Start a rice paddy, anybody?
Great googly moogly, it just keeps raining! I enjoy it, because I know that soon rain will just be a myth, but it really is crazy. I picked my first brandywine tomato last night, but the poor thing is swolen and splitting from all the water. Some of the green zebra have blossom-end rot, but I gave them some Epsom salts this weekend. (Hope the rain hasn't washed it all away!) I'm glad I planted the rose of sharon on Sunday, the rain will help settle them in. One of the Garden Chicks so graciously donated two big guys to my barren back 40. I really like them--such old-fashioned grandma plants. Here's hoping I don't have to work for the billionth weekend in a row and can make a trip over to the stables this weekend. I'd really like to finish the giant lasagna bed before it's too insanely hot. I should probably not listen to The Donnas after another long day at the keyboard. They're making me hostile! Grrrr! Arrrrggghhh!!!
