It's not that far away

I realize it's the end of January. There's still February to get through. But signs of spring are everywhere already. Just this morning, I noticed tiny buds on the red oak outside the kitchen window. Despite my aggressive pruning, the pomegranates are budding out, too. Little allium sprigs are springing up in the pathway bed out front, and crocosmia leaves too. It's tomato-starting time, basil-seed-starting time...onions-in-the-ground time... Not so long now.
