Audience with the Queen

Oh my goodness! I have my first rose! Two in fact! Miss Georgetown Tea bloomed this week, so pink I can see it from across the huge backyard. I have this insatiable urge to visit her all the time. So THIS is the rose lust? Of course, I have the springtime lust to go out and visit every little plant and hold my breath for each new bloom. I am also quite pleased with myself for the pink and purple color scheme in the front beds. It's WORKING!!! The loralpetalum are insane with floppy pink flowers, the redbud is covered with purple that almost but doesn't quite clash, and the salvia are filling in together and starting to bloom, too. Hooray! I also have hopes that my purple fountain grass is coming back... Yay, spring...
