Garden Generousity
Went to the GardenWeb plant swap this weekend and, like last time, I am overwhelmed by the generousity of my fellow gardeners. I hope to have more to share at future swaps... right now it just seems like I have so much space to fill and so few plants... but I know they will spread and I will be overrun eventually! I came home with: -- pawpaw tree -- night-blooming cereus -- sorghum grass -- plectranthus -- mother of millions -- rickrack plant -- yucca -- pencil cactus -- vitex (?) -- miscanthus gracillimus -- pennisetum hamlin -- ghost plant babies -- prickly pear catcus -- spineless prickly pear -- rose of sharon -- salvia -- fall asters -- lantana -- skullcap -- lots of various succulents -- canna -- passion vine & moonflower vine -- jewels of ophar -- sweet potato vine -- giant coneflower -- Maximillian sunflower It's crazy! I ran around like a crazy person planting last night, and of course I'll forget what I put where, eventually. But it sure is fun. Some of the girls and I are talking about starting a Garden Chicks club, which would be so nice. I think most of my friends think I'm a little nuts, and I'm sure they're bored by my garden blather... but every time I look out the window at what has been achieved in just the last year, I feel very fulfilled and proud.
